Tuition fees for EU students typically range from £13 000 to £25 000 per year, although for some degree programmes they may be significantly higher, reaching up to £60 000 per year.

Living costs vary significantly depending on the city. London is the most expensive, but in smaller cities you will spend much less on day-to-day living.

Applying to university in the United Kingdom

Application deadlines
The main UCAS deadline is usually in January, while for Oxford, Cambridge, medicine, dentistry and veterinary medicine - 15 October. From July, Clearing is available, which is an additional admissions process for degree programmes with available places.
Important information
Through UCAS, you can apply for a maximum of 5 degree programmes. You cannot apply to Oxford and Cambridge at the same time - you must choose one of these universities. Some universities also allow you to apply directly through their own portals (often for master’s degree programmes).
How to get in?
For undergraduate applications, the main factors are your predicted school-leaving exam results, personal statement, reference and meeting the subject requirements. Leading universities or medical degree programmes may also require admissions tests, an additional essay, a portfolio or an interview.
Do school-leaving exam results matter?
Yes - school-leaving exam results are very important. The university may require specific subjects, such as mathematics and physics for engineering or biology and chemistry for medicine. Once accepted, you will usually receive a conditional offer with grades you need to achieve.
Language requirements
The most commonly accepted tests are IELTS Academic, TOEFL iBT and Cambridge. The required score depends on the university and degree programme - usually IELTS 6.0-7.0 (top universities may have higher requirements). You can often submit your language certificate after receiving an offer.
