0
Admission to medical studies in Italy is based solely on the IMAT score (school-leaving examination results have no impact)
0
Universities in Italy offer medical degree programmes in English
The exam lasts 100 minutes and consists of 60 questions divided into several sections. Logical Reasoning and General Knowledge comprise a total of 9 questions, biology 23 questions, chemistry 15 questions, and mathematics and physics together 13 questions.
You receive +1.5 points for each correct answer, -0.4 points for each incorrect answer, and 0 points for an unanswered question.
The maximum score is 90 points, so in addition to knowledge, having an effective test-taking strategy and avoiding random answers are extremely important.
There is no single score threshold – the required score depends on the university and the number of applicants in a given year. The higher your score, the greater your chances of gaining admission to your chosen degree programme and university.
